First Surgical Expedition to Doha, South Chad. December 2024-January 2025. The goal is to perform surgery on 30 children of impoverished rural areas with serious mobility issues of their hands or feet.
This expedition is unique in that the entire medical and surgical team is comprised of native Africans from Chad and neighboring countries. The team has been duly trained by Dr. Garcia-Elias so that they can address complex cases of children suffering from polio, serious burns, congenital deformities and various hand or foot disabilities. Several of these serious pathologies were identified in patients during the medical survey of this past January 2024.

OUR PRIORITY IS BASED ON OFFERING AND GIVING SUPPORT TO THE PROJECT OF TRAINING AFRICAN SURGEONS. SINCE OUR EXPLORATORY TRAVEL OF THIS PAST JANUARY 2024 WE ARE FOCUSIG ON MAKING ALL THESE INVISIBLE CHILDREN VISIBLE.

As of April 2024, six African surgeons and two anesthesiologists have already “stood” up to offer their participation in collaborating with us in helping to “stand” up 30 children. We express our sincere thanks and appreciation to them.
