He met Mercè Casademunt while studying Education at the University of Barcelona in the late 1970s, and they have been a couple ever since.

Throughout his professional career, he worked as a science teacher across all stages of compulsory education. For 30 of his 40 years in education, he was also part of the school’s management teams, taking on responsibilities as coordinator and head of studies.

He has always been involved in social volunteering in different fields.

Now retired, he continues to contribute to social care initiatives. In recent years, retirement has allowed him to devote more time to other personal interests, including historical research, botany, hiking, theatre direction and bringing some long-standing artistic projects to life.

Since its beginnings, he has been an occasional collaborator of the Fernando Fonseca Foundation in its activities, until he accepted the position of Secretary in July 2026.
