Flavia Galuppo

 

 

Flavia Galuppo, Art director. Born and living in New York, she studied Communication and Film at Boston College, and continued at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in Art Direction for Film. She began her cinematographic vocation in the music video “Sun City” directed by Jonathan Demme. Flavia worked as an assistant editor on feature films and documentaries, as well as a casting agency for Broadway and TV. But the Art Department is her true passion, starting as a Decorator and Prop Master and later as a Production Designer and Art Director on film projects in the United States, Spain, Italy and Morocco. She has collaborated with, among other directors, Raul Ruiz, Joe Brewster, Nuria Olive-Bellas, Dierdre Fischel, Jordi Torrent, Gabe Von detto, Charlie Levi, Beth B, and Alexandre Rockwell. She coincided with Fina Sensada in a film in Barcelona directed by Jordi Torrent, her husband, in 2000. In 2011 Flavia met Dr. Fonseca on the set of the film that he co-produced in Venice, «The Redemption of fish”. The film was selected for the Venice Film Festival in 2013, where Dr. Fonseca participated, and she shared with him her last trip. She has actively collaborated in the entire creation process of the Foundation in the creative part.

Flavia will be the Art Director of the movie “Fernando y Ali”
